It's been a long time
Wow, it's been almost 2 years since I've written. It's been a busy time. We had just moved into our house and Kyla had just started a new school. So much has happened since then, there's no way to recap it all. What I hope to do is start writing more often. This might become part of my Sunday morning ritual. Run, newspaper & breakfast, and then blog about the previous week. Sounds easy enough.......

Last day of summer vacation
And what a summer it's been. We moved in on July 1st and instantly felt at home. We went on vacation with the Mecchi's again this year. This time it was to Ocean City, NJ to a house right on the beach. As expected, it was a great vacation!
Tomorow school starts. Kyla is nervous, or as she says, "freaked out" about starting at a new school. Luckily Nikki is in her class. Kyla will be taking the bus to and from school and wants to take it on the first day as opposed to me dropping her off. We're so glad we got here early enough in the summer that she was able to really get to know the kids on the street. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.....

New house
We finally sold our house on June 1st and were moving into our new house by July 1st. It was a whirlwind month. We LOVE our new house and neighbors! Within a week of being here Kyla was already sleeping over at the neighbors. She is always outside playing with the other kids. It's so great for her to have other girls around her age to play with. She now just runs out of the house instead of waiting for me and sticking to me like glue. She just jumped right in to life on the new street. It's like we're living on a commune, and in a really good way. The kids are always outside and adults come and go. We are so happy here and feel really lucky.

Christmas
Christmas Eve and Christmas day were full of family, laughs, and good food. Felicity and an American Girl Coconut were the big hits. Here are just a few highlights.
